I always wanted to learn to play a musical instrument but never got around to it until one day my friend Janet arrived on my doorstep and handed me a purple Mahalo soprano ukulele.
In the picture on the right, Janet is the one standing on the left. I don't know who the other dodgy geezer is, but he looks a bit short for you Janet. This photograph was taken on the day of the Make Poverty History March held in Edinburgh. Janet is a peacenik activist of many years standing. With great conviction Janet said; after the triangle, this is the easiest instrument to learn to play. Rising to her challenge, I scoured the internet for ukulele music and discovered, to my surprise, that a number of other people agreed with her. Eg: Pineapple Pete's Uke School. It wasn't long before I was immersed in ukulele lore and now have a Chicago-style tuned tenor banjo, a baritone uke and a 'few' other in-between sized ukes of banjo and acoustic styles.
Here is the culprit!
