| Writing history |
I have completed three novels; Bort--a good versus evil Fantasy adventure, The Box of Tricks, a soft Sci-Fi story set in the present on our Earth and other parallel worlds, and Leaves of Thunder, a more traditional Sci-Fi novel set in the future. Though never setting out to make any political statement, my SF work seems to dwell on the abuses of power perpetrated by governments and big business. As well as actively seeking an agent and a publisher for these novels, I am currently working on sequels to Bort and a new SF novel Mindo the Hero. Though unpublished in novel form, several magazines have accepted my short stories and cartoons. BBC Radio 4 accepted a short story, Twice Nightly, for Scottish Shorts, part of the Afternoon Reading series. I am a previous recipient of a Scottish Arts Council New Writer’s Bursary. I am a member of NOVELPRO, a prestigious on-line writing group based in the USA. |
